
Inflation on the Island fell very slightly last month, according to new government figures.
The rate at which prices increase fell to 2.3 per cent at the end of April, down 0.5 per cent on March.
The biggest risers over the past year include on-sales of wine and spirits, up 9.5 per cent, while gas fell 18.2 per cent.
Statistics from the Cabinet Office also show restaurants and hotels having risen 8.5% compared to 2024.
