Cabinet Office Minister David Ashford says he's confident figures from the government's earnings survey are statistically accurate.
He faced a question for written reply from Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas about median and average earnings in the survey as well as the gender pay gap and average number of hours worked by full-time staff.
In response, Mr Ashford said he was happy the survey - based on randomly-selected workers - was statistically valid.
But he added in future the reports would come with their margins of error explained.
