The yellow-coated wire was stolen from a wagon parked at the Manx Electricity Authority on the Business Park in Braddan.
It happened around 10.30pm on Friday of last week.
The 100 metres of wire is distinctive as it is coated in green and yellow plastic and was still rolled onto its storage drum.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Onchan Police Station.
