5.75% price jump at the post office

Price increases to some of the Island's postal rates have now come into effect.

Rates for a number of letters and other services have now risen by 5.75%, which the Post Office says reflects higher fixed costs.

The increase means the price of a standard IOM/UK letter stamp has gone up from 80p to 85p.

Chairman of the Isle of Man Post Office, Stu Peters, says mindful that the cost of everything is on the rise for customers, where practical the Board have sought to limit postal tariff changes whilst still operating responsibly.
