The new members will be sworn in to the House of Keys on 4th October with The Isle of Man\'s new chief minister to be decided by Tynwald on 11th October.
The Isle of Man is beginning a new era of government this morning with seven new faces joining the house of keys as a result of yesterday’s election.
It was anticipated that there would a shake up, however there were some major surprises along the way.
The biggest shock of the night came as one of the contenders for the Chief Minister post, Anne Craine, lost her Ramsey seat to former MHK and MLC Leonard Singer.
Martyn Quayle, Adrian Earnshaw, Quintin Gill and Bill Malarkey were the other MHK’s who failed to make the cut this time around.
Former president of the Farmers Union Howard Quayle will now be the representative for Middle, with Laurence Skelly taking the place of Quintin Gill in Rushen.
Michael remains represented by a Cannan as former MHK David Cannan’s son Alfred won by a landslide.
Richard Ronan took up the Castletown seat vacated by former Chief Minister Tony Brown.
