The Emergency Services Joint Control Room says problems with landlines have now been resolved.
Last night, Manx Telecom said it was investigating a problem with its network which meant the 999 number wasn't working.
It led the emergency services to give out a mobile number for people to dial in emergencies.
However, this morning the ESJCR says the problem has been fixed and people should call 999 in an emergency as normal.
