Recommended action has been put forward for the Islands healthcare system as the review of it continues.
Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan MHK, presented members with a progress report on the 12-month independent evaluation by Sir Jonathan Michael in Tynwald yesterday.
Mr Cannan said whilst the final report is not due until May, the progress report includes recommended action for the meantime, including around transformational funding for short-term needs and legislative requirements.
He went on to say funding has been released from the Healthcare Transformation Fund to allow the Department of Health and Social Care to address changes for some of the immediate requirements.
Meanwhile, Health and Social Care Minister, David Ashford, has praised Sir Jonathan for the progress made in the review and he looks forward to the findings provided in it.
