An air ambulance from Cumbria was called to assist with two vehicle crashes on the Island yesterday.
The Great North Air Ambulance attended to a crash at Ballaugh Bridge shortly after receiving a call at 1.52pm, with the air ambulance team on the scene within 32 minutes.
A second call was made at 4.38pm regarding an accident in Ballamodha.
The patient was stabilised, before being airlifted to a major trauma centre in England.
