Aircraft strikes killed 33 birds at Ronaldsway last year

33 birds were killed after hitting aircraft at the airport last year.

The figures have been released by the Department of Infrastructure in response to a Freedom of Information request.

Animals killed in such incidents include a hare as well as pipits and skylarks.

The data also shows the airport culled 156 birds and 100 rabbits and hares as part of measure to prevent strikes.
