Educating young people about the dangers of alcohol could stop them offending in later life.
That's according to police who say more action needs to be taken in order to keep the Island's crime rate low.
The issue of teenagers drinking was brought to the fore last weekend when officers in the south seized a large quantity of alcohol.
Police say they make no apologies for the fact they dispose of it - saying they have a duty to keep people safe.
