A former MSPCA worker accused of animal cruelty has walked free from court after the charge was dismissed.
Jennifer Ann Corran, of Ballaughton Close in Douglas, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 72-year-old was due to stand trial after denying causing unnecessary suffering to an animal between December 2022 and June last year.
Prosecutor Peter Connick offered no evidence after the court heard Ms Corran was unable to look after herself or her dog at the time.
The case was dismissed and magistrates awarded defence costs.
