A building in the centre of Ramsey which has been cordoned off due to being considered unsafe is set to be demolished.
Ramsey Town Commissioners says the owners of Auldyn House on Parliament Street have applied to knock down the empty building following further investigations by structural engineers.
A section of Parliament Street around the building remains closed to traffic at this time and scaffolding has been placed around it along with temporary traffic measures to allow safe access.
The local authority adds businesses around the area are open as normal and they hope to progress the demolition as soon as possible so the stretch can be reopened.
