Health Minister Clare Christian says there's been a notable increase in the average length of GP appointments.
In a written response, she said between 2015 and 2025, the average time rose from 11.7 minutes to 17.7 minutes - a 51% increase.
The minister explained it reflects changing patient needs, with more people now living with long-term health conditions.
She added GP services are supporting three per cent more patients compared to a decade ago, but the number of doctors has remained unchanged.
