A controversial planning application for a new housing development in the south of the Island has been passed.
The Department of Infrastructure’s planning committee has agreed to the proposals for the Ballakilley site which have been submitted by Heritage Homes.
The plans were originally criticised by the local commissioners and MHKs who were unhappy there was limited recreational facilities.
However chairman of Rushen Parish Commissioners Peter Gunn says things have now moved forward:
