A volunteer beach cleaning organisation's to get government cash to help maintain the Island's footpaths.
Beach Buddies, set up by Bill Dale, will get £25,000 over three years to run the project in conjunction with the Department of Infrastructure.
The scheme will see people serving community service and probation helping to clear public rights of way and repair damaged paths.
It's part of a 10-year plan the department has to make sure popular routes are kept to a high standard.
