Bee Gee star Robin Gibb remains in a serious condition in a London hospital today after contracting pneumonia.
Robin Gibb was originally admitted to hospital earlier this month suffering from the breathing condition following a battle with liver and colon cancer.
Reports surfaced on Friday night that the singer had taken a turn for the worse and was in a coma with unconfirmed statements that he had just days to live.
A statement on the 62 year old’s official website reads: "Sadly the reports are true that Robin has contracted pneumonia and is in a coma. We are all hoping and praying that he will pull through.”
Fans from around the world have left messages of support on the star’s Facebook Page after his website crashed from the level of traffic it was receiving.
