Onchan commissioners have voted to keep the current tenant of Centenary Park - but only if it gets rid of beehives.
At a meeting of the local authority earlier this month, members considered what to do with the former tip, which is currently leased by the Manx Woodland Trust.
After a discussion, commissioners voted in favour of offering the trust a one-year extension to its current lease.
But after concerns about beehives on the land, they said the trust would have to remove them.
