The Steam Packet company says passengers on the Ben my Chree face a long delay today because of technical problems.
The company says the sailing that departed Douglas at 8.45 this morning and due to arrive just after midday will now face a three-hour delay arriving at Heysham.
Passengers booked on the return 2.15pm sailing are being asked to check-in as normal.
A further update will be issued once engineers have assessed the situation.
