In the House of Keys this week, Treasury Minister Alex Allinson faced questions about next year's benefits increases from Onchan MHK Julie Edge.
She pointed out inflation stood at 3.9 per cent when benefits rises were due to be considered - but said those on minimum wage stood to get a 9.9 per cent raise.
Dr Allinson said details of benefits increases would be revealed in his budget in February:
