A big step has been made in the Island's commitment to nature conservation.
The first set of Biodiversity Action Plans have been published by the Government, which is a list of priorities which aim to help protect and preserve key habitats and species.
Created by technical specialists from nature conservation groups and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, species protected include blue tits, robins, ringed plovers, wildflowers and fungi.
