    Biker who died in Sulby crash lived in the local area

    The rider was 75 year old Anthony Cook

    Police have identified that a biker who died last week in Sulby lived in the local area.

    Last Thursday a Norton cycle/sidecar combination collided with a parked and unattended car on Claddaghs Road in Sulby.

    His male sidecar passenger was taken to hospital with head injuries.

    The rider was 75 year old Anthony Cook, known as Tony to his family, they describe him as' a well loved family man. They say he was a safe rider who dedicated his free time to training new riders with safety in mind.'

    He starting riding motorbikes at the age of 16 years old and competed in the TT as a sidecar passenger in the 1960's.

    The Police would still like to speak to anybody who witnessed the collision, it was busy in the area as a TT  practice session was about to get underway.
