Monks from the Island's only Buddhist temple will be on the Island's streets this week carrying out an alms round.
The monks from Wat Thai Isle of Man will be in Douglas today, Wednesday and Saturday and in Ramsey on Tuesday performing what the temple says is a meditative and spiritual practice.
It says the tradition is to give simple ready-to-eat food as an act of generosity and humility - and is asking people not to give money.
And it adds the monks do not ask or expect, instead they receive what is freely offered with gratitude and mindfulness.
