Breast cancer survival improves after funding injection

Women with breast cancer could have their illness detected and treated quicker thanks to funding for a lifesaving piece of equipment.

Microgaming Health and Care Trust has donated £16,000 to buy a "breast coil" for the new dedicated breast cancer unit at Noble's Hospital.

Julie Stokes is the chairman of the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group - she says it's going to make a big difference:

The £1.5 million unit is now complete structurally but Julie says fundraising will continue in order to equip it:
