Health Minister, David Anderson has delivered some good news concerning breast care on the Island, following a period of public uncertainty.
The Minister has said there were three phases geared toward significantly enhancing the scope of breast care available on-Island, appointing a new Consultant Breast Surgeon, introducing an on-Island sentinel node biopsy service and the provision of an on-Island breast reconstruction service.
Speaking to 3FM the Minister said this new approach has led to a reduction in overall inpatient and outpatient waiting lists, it also means many procedures can now take place on Island as opposed to the UK, as before.
