Brexit could hit Manx fish processors, says minister

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it's worried about the possibility of Brexit hampering the Island's fish-processing businesses.

DEFA Minister Geoffrey Boot appeared before the Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee yesterday.

He revealed the department's priorities - and said at the top of the list is Brexit, which could have major implications for the farming and fishing industries.

Mr Boot says in particular Manx fish-processing firms may struggle to find staff, as most of their workers are from abroad:
