Chief Minister Howard Quayle says the UK-EU Brexit deal is good news for Manx fishing.
This morning, he gave a statement during a special sitting of Tynwald about the deal which takes effect in the New Year.
He told members European fishing boats will be allowed into Manx waters under strict conditions and the Island will be able to regulate and licence fishermen from the EU.
Mr Quayle added the Island had to comply with the deal if it wanted to export goods to Europe.
