Brownfield sites being utilised, statistics say

Nearly half of all approved planning applications for houses on the Island have utilised brownfield sites over a ten-year period.

That's according to Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas earlier this week.

Between 2007 and 2017, statistics show 44% of approved plans for new homes were on previously developed areas.

The figures have been revealed in a report that is being used as evidence for the Draft Area Plan for East.
