External CCTV cameras on the buses have been altered after concerns over a breach of data protection.
The data protection supervisor served an enforcement notice on the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure last year.
It followed concerns that buses were recording images of up to 15 metres away on both public and private land.
The DCCL has since withdrawn its appeal to the Data Protection Tribunal and has also agreed to pay the legal costs of the case.
Supervisor Iain McDonald says the situation will be continually monitored but his office is happy with the changes that have been made so far:
