Car seats recalled after safety fears

Parents on the Isle of Man are being warned of a potential safety concern with Mama and Papas car seats.

The Office of Fair Trading says in the event of an accident a number of models may crack and not provide the intended level of protection to the child.

The seats have been sold through Mamas and Papas website, Tesco, Asda, Shop Direct and some independent retailers.

The affected models are the Nembus, Aureus, Group 123 and Altair with an approval number of 04 44596.

Anyone who has one of the seats is asked to contact the manufacturer directly on 03332 412154.
