Chairman of Michael Commissioners resigns 4 months after taking up post

The Chairman of the Michael Commissioners has resigned from his post having only been elected this year.

Mike Neary was elected unanimously at the Annual General Meeting in May.

In a statement from the commissioners he has been praised for his hard work during his short time in the post aswell as the work he has contributed to the local community over the last four years.

They say the board needs to refocus and make an effective response to the Heritage Homes Planning Application, which they say will have a long lasting impact on the village.

The commissioners say they hope Mike will continue to play an active part in the community.
