The Chamber of Commerce say they endorse DfE's plans to pause their radical work permit shake up, as more prep work is needed.
The Chamber has been strong advocates for change following feedback from their members saying the labour shortage needs addressing urgently.
Under the plans all work permits would be removed for all sectors.
Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston shelved plans to bring the reforms before this month's Tynwald sitting, saying more consultation with stakeholders is needed, to ensure the reforms are effective and fit for purpose.
Although the Chamber say they're eager to see the reforms introduced as soon as possible they agree that further engagement is necessary.
