Changes ahead for scallop industry

"Significant changes" are ahead for the Isle of Man's king scallop industry.

That is according to the Manx government as it launches a public consultation to find the balance between profit and sustainability.

Views are being sought from everyone involved in the industry as management plans are drawn up.

The king scallop season, which runs between November and May, is worth several million pounds to the Manx economy.

A 12- week public consultation can now be found on the government website and a series of a drop-in sessions will soon be announced.
