Changing culture of Manx Care 'won't happen overnight'

That's according to the health body following the results of a survey, which was sent to around 160 local doctors who are members of the British Medical Association (BMA).

It showed 79% either disagreed or strongly disagreed that there's strong leadership at the highest level of the organisation, with half feeling like they're not part of a well-managed team.

Manx Care says whilst the results highlight there is a lot of work to do to develop the culture, they're encouraged by a number of comments that show progress is 'slowly being made.'

This includes colleagues feeling management is seen to be fair throughout, that Primary Care is a good place to work with a positive culture, and communication is strong.

Meanwhile, the Island's Health Minister confirmed he met with the BMA yesterday and had a 'positive discussion' focused on working together to move forward.
