Douglas Borough Council's partnership with a local charity will help build communities across the borough.
That's according to council leader, David Christian, as the authority has linked up with Isle of Play to create the new Lester's Yard adventure playground in the Island capital - which is due to fully open early next year.
The new facility at Ballaughton Park has now been officially handed over to the charity which will offer play experiences there for children aged between four and 17 once it opens its doors.
Isle of Play's chief executive officer, Chris Gregory, says it will be the first playground of its kind on the Isle of Man.
