A charity in the south of the Island has received funding for a collection and drop-off service for isolated residents.
Manx Lottery Trust has awarded a grant of £37,556 to Southern Befrienders.
It means they can hire a driver for three years and pay for holiday cover and petrol, to help up to half of their members and reduce loneliness.
The charity currently has 200 members who get regular help.
