    Chief Minister holds talks with Kenny and Salmond

    Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond

    The Chief Minister says he held key one-on-one talks with Irish Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond in Stirling on Friday.

    Allan Bell was in Scotland for the latest British-Irish Council, which brings together political leaders from all across the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.

    Mr Bell was accompanied to the summit by DEFA Minister Phil Gawne and the pair took part in top-level discussions on a range of issues including the economy and youth unemployment.

    Mr Bell also held talks with Michael Moore MP, the UK’s Secretary of State for Scotland, Ed Davey MP, UK Secretary of State for Energy, and his political counterparts from Jersey and Guernsey.
