The government's laboratory is fully capable of making sure our drinking water is safe.
That's the message from Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Clare Barber - who faced a question for written answer on the subject.
Rushen MHK Juan Watterson asked if the lab could do all the testing required under UK and EU regulations about drinking water.
In her response, Mrs Barber said all lab staff were suitably trained and qualified carry out the checks.
