Commissioners advise caution near yesterday's beauty spot fire

Malew Commissioners are asking people to take extra care when visiting Scarlett - after a fire yesterday.

The Fire and Rescue Service says rubbish which had built up in disused lime kilns caught light early yesterday morning, releasing toxic smoke.

The local authority says a number of potential hazards have now been exposed at the site - and it's asking people to stick to the path and keep dogs on a lead.

It's asked the land owner to make sure the area is safe.
