Port Erin Commissioners say they're talking to the owners of a popular cafe to try to make sure it stays open.
At the weekend the Cosy Nook cafe on the village's beachfront announced it would close until further notice - no reason's been given for the shutdown.
The local authority says it was surprised to the see the notice and fencing at the cafe because it hadn't been given any prior notice.
The board says it's now in discussions with the tenant to resolve the situation and to ensure the café will open as usual for the summer season.
