    Commissioners working to minimise Peel regeneration disruption

    The benefits of extensive regeneration work in Peel will be 'clear for all to see' once the project has been completed.

    That's the message from government's Town and Village Centre Regeneration Scheme which is funding the upgrade. 
     
    It's in a bid to enhance the layout of the 'civic space' however elements of the work - particularly around St Peter's Church - have proved contentious with local protesters. 
     
    Peel Commissioners have been involved in the overall scheme and say they are supportive of the work:
