A serial shoplifter who targeted the same store four times has been ordered to do community service.
Stephen Gerrard Arrowsmith of Taubman Terrace in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted five counts of theft and breaching a community service order between November 2019 and March this year.
The court heard he stole wine and cider worth £28 from the Spar on Union Mills over the course of almost four weeks, as well as champagne from Shoprite in Port Erin.
At the time, the 40 year old was subject to a 60-hour community service order imposed last July.
Magistrates revoked that order and imposed a new 120 hours of community service, also ordering him to pay more than £60 in compensation.
