
Firefighters are reminding people to prepare properly when carrying out controlled burns, after a blaze spread in the west of the Island.
Fire crews were called out to Glen Maye earlier after a controlled burn got out of control.
The Fire and Rescue Service says people should let it know about burns in advance by calling the Emergency Services Joint Control Room on 697327.
And it adds you should have a some way of preventing the fire spreading, and make sure you monitor the flames.
