Increasing rents for tenants living in public sector housing on the Isle of Man will support future investment in housing stock.
Yesterday the Department of Infrastructure confirmed it was imposing a two per cent rent hike from April next year.
The cost of providing the housing - including maintenance, refurbishment and replacement of properties - is currently outstripping rental income.
