Could the Island's minimum wage be on the rise later this year?
It comes as proposals to increase the rate on Island will go before Tynwald next month.
If approved, it would see an increase of £1.25 an hour - meaning the wage would jump from £9.50 to £10.75 .
Meanwhile, those aged 16-17 will get £8.05, up from £6.80.
Subject to Tynwald approval, the proposed new rates will come into effect from 1st April 2023.
The Department for Enterprise and Treasury have proposed the changes following recommendations from the Minimum Wage Committee.
