A man who's alleged to have stolen a pair of trainers while on bail will appear in court again in the New Year.
Andrew Hall of David Gray House in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse last week.
He's charged with theft following the incident on December 15th - a further charge of handling a stolen mountain bike was withdrawn by the prosecution.
The 31-year-old is said to have taken the shoes from Whistles on Strand Street.
Hazel Caroon, prosecuting, said CCTV showed Mr Hall taking off his own shoes and trying on a pair of Jack and Jones trainers worth £45.
She said he then walked out of the shop, leaving his own shoes behind.
Mr Hall's advocate Peter Russell asked for the case to be adjourned while he examined the shop's video footage.
Mr Hall was bailed in the sum of £250 and will appear in court again on January 12th.
