Home Affairs Minister Says Positive Figures Down to Neighbourhood Policing
Crime levels have continued to fall on the Island, with the statistics for the last six months showing marked decreases across the board.
There was a 2% drop between April and September in total recorded crime, that also signified a 10% drop on the three year average.
The most recent Chief Constable’s Report showed that the Isle of Man's crime rate is currently at a 29 year low.
Cases of criminal damage were down 13% with burglaries down 11%.
Home Affairs Minister Adrian Earnshaw thinks the continuing drop is down to the success of Neighbourhood Policing.
