Braddan Commissioners say hedge-cutting is among the services that will be scaled back to pay for the Roundhouse.
The local authority says in order to pay for the new community facility, it will have to cut other services such as road-sweeping.
Earlier this month, the board revealed it would increase rates by more than 36 per cent to cover its costs.
Local residents have gathered enough signatures to ask the Captain of the Parish to call a public requisition meeting, but a date has yet to be announced.
