Damage caused to vehicles must be reported - Police

Any damage you cause to someone else's vehicle must be reported.

Police have reiterated the warning to motorists as they continue to look into an incident which took place in the West of the Island last month.

At around 9:50am on Saturday, September 5 on Athol Street in Peel, a Silver Nissan Qashqai reversed into a Silver Mini, then left the area, the driver then returned to the scene shortly after and removed debris from beside the Mini, then drove off again.

Officers now want to speak to the driver of the Nissan as part of the enquiries into the matter.

Meanwhile, authorities also add if you damage someone else's vehicle and can't contact the owner you must inform Police.

They add failing to do so is a criminal offence.
