Health workers on the Island are trying to educate young people on the damage energy drinks can do.
Teachers have reported an increase in the number of people consuming the drinks which include brands like ‘Red Bull’ and ‘Monster’ – despite the fact they shouldn’t be sold to under-16s.
Most cans have around 13 teaspoons of sugar in them– the recommended daily intake is just nine.
