The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it hopes to have three urban agriculture projects in place to help meet the Island's food needs by 2026.
A report to Tynwald today will consider measure the government can take to ensure the Island has a secure supply of food.
One of DEFA's targets is to have at least three urban agriculture projects such as vertical farming, rooftop gardens, and community plots within two years' time.
The department says it wants to provide grants and support to residents, businesses, and local authorities to create green food production spaces.
